    Podcast 01 ‘Beats and Rhymes’

    Like many electronic music producers around me, I was also quite interested in Hip Hop when I started to discover different musical genres.

    Hip Hop actually played a great role in shaping my musical tastes and later guided me to its own roots like funk, soul and jazz. In this mix of S.O.S. series the main focus is on both old and new school hip-hop, but as ever it’s flavoured with some great electronic beats as well.

I decided to launch a podcast series called 'Sense Of Sensible' to bring together my personal favorites from a wide range of genres. Each mix represents a genre or style that I do not necessarily play as part of my live DJ sets when I play under my own name 'Tufan Demir'.

While my Train Wreck mixes on RBMA Radio, Sublime Porte Podcasts or Vesvese Podcasts on Soundcloud are devoted to all-around disco, house or dubstep; here you can expect anything from ambient to jazz and hip-hop to post rock. This is the music that has influenced and intrigued me over the years, music that I think is worthy of sharing with others.
